Essential Elements is the interactive method book we use to work on fundamentals. We use this book through grades 6-8. Percussion books are 19.00 and all other instrument books are 13.00 for the 2022-23 school year. Checks or money orders should be made out to Ben Hill Middle School. Students can also earn a book by selling two cheesecakes in our fall fundraiser. Directions for creating your online student account, using the code in your book, along with the code for our class are found in your child's band class in Schoology. There are so many features for practice and assessment, for both classroom and distance learning

From this point on, we will be wearing "concert black" uniform for formal concert performances. This means solid black tops, bottoms, and shoes. For example: solid black shirt with pants or skirt, black dress, black leggings (not see through and hip and rear covered) with black top or dress. If worn, socks and hosiery should be black. This gives students the opportunity to dress appropriately in their comfort level while keeping the focus on the music and not individual fashion choices.
