Welcome to the curriculum and instruction section of the Ben Hill County schools website. Here you will find a great deal of information related to the guaranteed curriculum for each school, research-based instructional practices used within the classrooms at Ben Hill County schools, grading information and policies, Gifted curriculum, Response to interventions to meet the needs of all learners, and much more.
My name is Ben Webb, and I will be your curriculum director for the 2022 – 23 school year. It is my goal to work with administrative teams at each school to provide greater consistency in the implementation of the Georgia Standards of Excellence and provide support and professional development to improve our instructional practices here at Ben Hill County Schools.
It is also my goal to provide you with as much information as possible. Therefore, I will be adding content to the curriculum and instruction section of the website on a regular basis. We have completed the realignment of the ELA standards K – 12, which now include writing standards for every grade level. We are currently working on curriculum guides for each school and grade level, proficiency scales, and grading information and policies that I will be publishing over the next few weeks.
Check back often to see the latest updates.
