January, February, & March Math Goals:
- Identify numbers 1-20 and beyond.
- Identify the following 2-D shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, heart, star, & octagon
- Identify the following 3-D shapes: sphere, cylinder, cube, cone
- Count up to 15 objects. Touch each object and count.
Suggestions for Math Goals:
- Write numbers on index cards and use them as flashcards. Practice by mixing flashcards and holding the number up for the child to identify.
- Ask the student to find shapes while around the house, shopping or running errands. (Can you find a circle? The stove has circles. Can you find a square? The window is a square. The door is a rectangle. )

- Practice counting everyday objects by touching them individually, up to 15. You can use buttons, cereal, popsicle sticks, cookies, popcorn, and candy.

April & May Literacy Goals:
- Identify and produce rhyming words.
- Answer questions about stories that are read.
Suggestions for Literacy Goals
- Read rhyming books and listen/find words that rhyme.
- Sticky Note Rhyming: Make 5 columns on a large sheet of paper using sticky notes. Write one word at the top of each. Write words that rhyme under each column. As an example, bat red fig dot sun
- Ask a who, what, why, when, & where question after reading each page of a story.
