My name is Ms. Cynthia Johnson. This is my 24th year of teaching. I have been at Ben Hill Elementary for four years . I was born and raised in Lowndes County. I graduated from Lowndes County High in 1976. I graduated from Valdosta State University in 1979 with a degree in Special Education. I taught 6 months in Turner County and went back to Valdosta State and graduated with my Masters degree in Special Education. I was married in 1981 and started teaching in Augusta, Georgia for four years.  Then I moved to Tallahassee, Florida and taught in Cairo, Georgia for four years. I had my first child, a son, Travis Johnson in 1988. I moved to Tifton, Georgia and have lived there for 30 years. In 1990, I had a daughter, Rebecca Johnson. I became a stay at home mother in 1988. I started back to teaching in 2001. I taught in an IEP classroom in regular education for one year in Omega, Georgia. I taught at Annie Belle Clark Elementary in Tifton, Georgia until 2007 when I moved to Tift County High School until 2012. I had some health issues and was a paraprofessional for one year in 2013. In 2014 I began at Ben Hill Elementary and have been here since that time. I have enjoyed working in this school system very much.  Everyone is so kind and willing to help in any way possible. I have been very blessed!
