Mrs. Donna Owens

Donna Owens graduated from high school in 1957. She graduated from FSU in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She began teaching kindergarten in the Ben Hill County School system in 1979 and has taught there for 38 years. While teaching, she attended night school at Valdosta State University and Georgia Southwestern to attain a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She retired from full time teaching in 2009 and then continued to teach part-time. She currently serves as a half-day RTI teacher for first and second grade.

Donna is a member of Central United Methodist Church. She is a member of the United Methodist Women, sings in the church choir, and also directs the handbell choir. She is married to Lawson and has two sons, Andrew(Kate) and James. She also has a grandson, Ozzie, and another grandson due in March. She enjoys reading, Sudoku, and family activities.
