School Based Health Clinic | South Central Primary Care

South Central Primary Care Center offers Medical and Mental/Behavioral Health Services
at Ben Hill County Schools

  • Who can receive care at the School based healthcare center...
Any child or staff member who desires healthcare services can receive care at the School-Based Health Center. Even if your child has a primary care provider, he/she can receive immediate and on-site medical and mental/behavioral health care, right in school, at South Central Primary Care Center's on campus facility. Our school-based health center makes receiving healthcare as simple as walking down the hall.

  • Parental permission required...
Parents/Guardians will have the option to sign a permission form at the beginning of each school year stating that their child can receive treatment at the school-based health center. Consent can also be provided on  a visit-by-visit basis. Our school-based health center will work hard to keep parents informed about their child's health. Parents may participate in their child's appointments via phone, email, or computer - or in person, if the parent desires. Between appointments, our staff will follow up with parents and guardians in a range of ways, such as written letters, phone calls, notes, or on secure patient portals. Our health centers will only provide care to students with the parents'/guardians' permission.

  • Benefits of School-Based Health Services...

    - Students tend to do better academically.
    - Students are sick less as healthcare is readily available.
