    Digital Learning with Technology

We live in a digital world -- a world which surrounds us with technology to communicate with one another and exchange information.  As a result, we need to teach students how to use technology in a productive way.   Students need to know how to search for information, and then determine if the information is safe, accurate, and reliable.  We need to be sure they are cautious of the "digital footprints" they leave behind.  All students need technology skills which will enable them to collaborate with others, solve problems, and be successful as well as safe, in our digital world.

For this reason, students are provided computer access privileges at school, as well as access to the Internet, email, digital communication and collaboration tools, online learning spaces, and educational resources.  These resources and tools are essential to teaching and learning.

The guidelines for responsible use of these tools are outlined in our New Technology Use Handbook, in the right column.

Ben Hill County School District will be implementing 1:1 Devices for Students in grades 6-11, during the 2018-19 School Year.
