The National Science Foundation has awarded the Georgia Department of Education a $300,000 grant to align and support the efforts of several Georgia school districts that are introducing K-12 computer science education. GaDOE will work collaboratively with Wiregrass Technical College, Atlanta Public Schools, Douglas County Schools, Ben Hill County Schools, Brooks County Schools, and Thomas County Schools to pilot “Aligning for Impact: Computer Science Pathways Across Contexts.”

Fitzgerald High School Georgia Audio-Video, Film, & Technology Grant ~ Empowering Students with Technology
Congratulation to Mrs. Dianne Lhotte, Engineering and Audio Visual Film Technology CTAE (Career, Technical, Agriculture, and Engineering) teacher at Fitzgerald High School, on being selected as one of ten teachers in the state of Georgia to attend an eight week ENERGY Summer Research Experience at Georgia Southern University.
The Georgia Partnership for Telehealth gives access to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for students and families having to travel to Atlanta on a regular basis for appointments. Telehealth healthcare service will alleviate this hardship and keep students in school for the day.
